2.1 Entry Data You Upload

When you use our audit service, you may upload or paste CBP Form 7501 data, commercial invoice data, or other customs entry information. This data is processed in real-time for analysis and is not stored on our servers after processing is complete. All entry data exists only in memory during analysis and is discarded immediately after the AI response is generated.

2.2 Contact Information

If you purchase our paid services or contact us, we collect your name, email address, company name, and billing information as necessary to fulfill the service.

2.3 Usage Data

We collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on site, browser type, and approximate geographic location (country/state level). We use Cloudflare Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track users across sites.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the HTS classification analysis service
• To generate CBP Protest Letters (paid tier)
• To process payments and fulfill orders
• To communicate with you about your service
• To improve our analysis accuracy
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Entry Data - Special Handling

We treat customs entry data with particular care because it may contain confidential business information including product descriptions, supplier relationships, and pricing data. Our policy:

• Entry data is transmitted using TLS 1.3 encryption
• Entry data is processed only in memory and never written to persistent storage
• We do not log, retain, or analyze entry data beyond the immediate analysis request
• We do not use entry data to train AI models without explicit consent
• No entry data is shared with third parties except the AI inference provider (Anthropic), which processes data under strict data processing agreements

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Anthropic: AI inference provider for HTS analysis (entry data processed under their data processing agreement)
• Stripe: Payment processor for paid services
• Cloudflare: Infrastructure and DDoS protection
• Law enforcement: When required by law

6. Data Retention

• Entry data: Deleted immediately after analysis (not retained)
• Protest letters (paid): Retained for 90 days, then deleted
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years per tax requirements
• Usage analytics: Aggregated, no PII retained

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@htscodeauditor.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption, Cloudflare DDoS protection, and no persistent storage of sensitive entry data. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of transmitted data.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for business use only and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email (for paid customers) or prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
